Radio Controlled Improvised Explosive Devices (RCIED) account for the largest proportion of military and civilian casualties in today’s modern asymmetric warfare environments.

We offer the latest technology solutions as countermeasures against remotely controlled improvised explosive devices (RCIEDs ). The range includes ultra portable units to cover cell phone networks and full band portable and vehicle – mounted systems. The latter includes covert antenna configurations that can be discreetly mounted in vehicles for mobile deployment. Applications include protection of VIP and military personnel, and counter improvised explosive device operations.

KESTREL is a lightweight manpack jammer with an operational life of four hours from a single rechargeable battery. It has four programmable threat ‘fills’ covering a wide frequency band and variants include tri-band GSM mobile phones and Wireless LAN.

An essential element of any RF Inhibitor design is the performance of the antenna system. Our principal's EMC chamber enables its engineering team to design and meticulously test different antenna configurations in order to provide the best practicable performance against known RCIED threats. This focus and attention to detail has resulted in a significant improvement in system performance.

To complement the KESTREL Family of RF Inhibitors, a range of vehicle-installed jammers, which include FALCON and GRIFFIN for Force Protection (FP) of military, paramilitary and other  government organisations.

FALCON utilises sophisticated Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) technology to provide a highly power efficient and effective jamming source.  It is a twin channel, 50 Watts per channel, wide band, field proven Jammer designed for rapid vehicle deployment. The system can provide an effective response to RCIED threats and can be utilised in the following roles:

The new GRIFFIN Vehicle Mounted Digital Jamming System is a sophisticated system, designed specifically for vehicle mounted use. The Griffin can be used for RCIED use as well as general EOD and RF communication jamming.

The ‘Griffin’ transmits powerful jamming signals over a wide frequency range covering 20 MHz up to 2.5 GHz using the latest digital technology that surpasses the performance of analogue systems.

The Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) technique allows for the use of energy efficient counter measures and provides greater range for lower overall output power. The ‘Griffin’ causes nearby receivers to become inactive, typically 200 metres from the target (this is dependant upon the power of the activation transmitter and the relative distances involved).

As the ‘Griffin’ is a digital system it is highly flexible, the inhibiting frequencies can be programmed so that the signal power can be concentrated onto particular spot frequencies or threat bands if required.

The Griffin’ is effective against most types of radio, as well as all cellular telephones and W-LAN (2.4 GHz).

  

  

The DART Series is a range of portable jamming systems designed for fast deployment in ruggedised briefcase form.

The DART Series can be used to neutralise areas where Remote Controlled Improvised Explosive Devices (RCIED) are a threat, or, more generally, where it is preferable to neutralise communications.

The DART Series is a single unit to cover both GSM900 and GSM1800 bands (DART 9).

The DART Series is available in multiple frequency bands to provide UHF (DART 7), 3G (DART 10), WLAN 2.4G (DART 11), WLAN 5.5 G (DART 12) and Satellite Phone (DART 14) coverage. Options also include hard wired and wireless remote control.
